The St. Matthew Passion is J.S. Bach’s most profound and moving work, dramatic, passionate, and lyrical. This performance, just before Easter weekend, 2011, will feature VancouverVoices, VancouverVoicesYouth and the Victoria Philharmonic Choir, as well as members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. International soloists will include Stephen Varcoe (Christus), Benjamin Butterfield (Evangelist), Sarah Fryer (mezzo arias), Jennifer Farrell (soprano arias), Mark De Silva (tenor arias).
